چکیده
Preparation of silver immobilized TiO2-Hectorite and its application in phenol photooxidation and Eschericia coli bacteria desinfection has been conducted. Material was obtained by two steps of synthesis: preparation of TiO2-Hectorite and silver immobilization into TiO2-Hectorite. Physico-chemical characterization to the prepared material compared to raw hectorite was conducted by X-ray Diffraction, gas sorption analyzer, scanning electron microscope and DRUV-Visible spectrophotometry and for photoactivity study, phenol photo-oxidation and Eschericia coli desinfection were investigated. The results indicated that the modification to hectorite material improve the physico-chemical character related to its role as photo-catalyst. Kinetic study of phenol photooxidation revealed the role of TiO2 pillarization and silver immobilization in enhancing rate of reaction as well as increased photoactivity of the materials in E. coli desinfection. © 2013 BCREC UNDIP. متن کاملEffect of H2O2 Addition on Phenol Removal from Wastewater Using TiO2/Al2O3 as Photocatalyst
The photocatalytic oxidation of phenol in water in the band reactor with supported TiO2 catalysts was investigated. Modified anatase/Al2O3 catalysts were used as the photocatalysts. The main aim of these studies was to determine catalytic activity of TiO2/Al2O3 and V-TiO2/Al2O3 in the removal of phenol from water. The effectiveness was measured in the configurations: TiO2/UV/O2/H2O2, TiO2/O2/H2...

متن کاملEfficient Immobilised TiO2 in Polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) Membrane for Photocatalytic Degradation of Methylene Blue
Immobilised titanium dioxide (TiO2) in membrane structures has recently become attractive. This is due to the elimination of the separation step after the process of photocatalytic degradation. The efficiency of the TiO2 surface area exposed to UV light as the main important parameter needs to be considered. The immobilisation of TiO2 nanoparticles in the polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) membrane...
